Görväln allotement association
Rules of procedure – from 2022
Görväln allotment association is in a nature reserve, close to Gövälns castle park. Järfälla Municipality has certain rules for the nature reserves. Görvälns courtyard is classified as a building monument by the County administration. The main building and the north and south wing, are built in the 16th century while the associated gardener house is late 18th century. The area of Görväln is therefore a part of a very, worthy of protection, cultural environment which requires high demands of the design of the allotment area and the single allotment plots.
1. Rules of procedure in general
1.1
When the contract of the allotment is signed, the member approves to follow the statues and the rules of procedure
1.2
The first year is a, so called, “try-out” year. This means that if the allotment is taken care of – in order of the rules of procedure – the contract will be extended. Otherwise – the member is not allowed to continue cultivate

All the members have duty to follow the notes from the board
1.4
Cultivation is only allowed within the allotment border area. It is forbidden to move the border area markings.
1.5
Weed, plant residues, stones, tools etc are not allowed to be left on walkways and on the grass
1.6
It is not allowed to put out private furniture on common spaces and to lay an outdoor place
1.7
You are responsible för transporting away waste. Composts at the shed are only ment for waste from common spaces
1.8
It is not allowed to walk on, and pick berries and vegetables, from another members allotment
1.9
It is only allowed to use the barbeque at the associations barbeque area
1.10
Cats and dogs must be in a leash
1.11
Ball-play is not allowed in the area
1.12
The allotment must be returned to the association in good condition after the cancelation
2. Cultivation
2.1
Cultivation should be done by ecological principles
2.2
Cultivation plots are intended for cultivation by plants. At least – 90 % of the cultivation plot area must be cultivated. Box for garden tools and paths are included in the cultivated area
2.3
Crop rotation should be applied as large as possible
2.4
Natural manure, or approved KRAV manure is ok for use. It is not allowed to use fertilizer manure such as “blåkorn” or “NPK-manure”
2.5
Natural manure soil or KRAV-approved soil must be used
2.6
Trees, bushes and other high plants are not allowed due to that surrounded cultivation plots are shaded. The maximum height of trees, bushed and plants is 2.5 meters. Already existing (2022) fruit trees are excepted, but should be taken care of by proper cropping
2.7
Only KRAV-approved pesticides must be used. In uncertain cases, please contact the border of the association.
2.8
The cultivation plot must be free from weed. Repeated remarks that is not taken care of, will lead to termination of the cultivation plot
2.9
Cultivation at the plot must start the 1st of June
2.10
Plant waste and weed must be stored on the own compost of the cultivation plot, or be transported away.
2.11
Waste is stored on the own cultivation plot, in order to be transported away
2.12
At the cultivation plots along the hedge towards the field, it is not allowed to keep things in store outside the plot, against the hedge
2.13
Look after the Spanish forest snail and insects that will cause damage – like aphid and different larvas. Spanish forest snail and insects that will cause damage, must be killed. Other animals and insects are not allowed to be killed
2.14
If plats show signs of mite or sickness, the border of the association has the right to demand the owner of the cultivation plot, to take appropriate action
2.15
Cultivation is only allowed for private purpose. None of the colonists and their related parties is allowed to operate private sale for own purpose and own gain, by products from the allotment area
2.16
Net over cultivation is not allowed. There is a very high risk that animals (such as birds and reptiles) can get stuck in the net
2.17
At the end of the cultivation season, all the covering materials and racks must be taken down
3. Public areas and tools
3.1
The owner of the cultivation plot is responsible for, that the surrounding area for the plot is kept free from stone, waste like plastic, plant remains and weed. The owner is also responsible to trim the grass edges around the plot
3.2
When you water with a water hose, please think of other people who also needs to water with water hose
3.3
Check that the water taps are properly turned off
3.4
Tools must be cleaned and put back on it´s place every day, after use
3.5
It is not allowed – without the border of the association’s permission – to remove branches, trees and other vegetation from the public areas
3.6
It´s allowed to pick a smaller amount of fruit from bushes and trees that belongs to the area. Think of that the fruit must be enough for everyone
3.7
Handle the associations tools (such as lawn mowers) with gentle care. Be aware of that repair and maintance are financed with the fees of the members
3.8
Report damages on tools and machines to the area manager without delay
3.9
Tools, machines and other property of the association, are not allowed to be removed from the area, with no other than a competent person
3.10
Cars are not allowed to drive into the area. Single transports are excepted only if a certain permission has been authorized. Larger, heavier transports to the tool shed have a certain permission for driving authorization
3.11
At the allotment area there is a certain spot for in, -and unloading. The car must be removed after the in, -and unloading is finished. The association has a certain cart and wheelbarrows
4. Constructions, fences, greenhouse etc.
4.1
Construction has to be approved from the board, before it can start. Construction without approval from the board will be requirements of demolition, from the board.
4.2
Compost boxes, tool boxes, furniture, trellis and safety net has to be in the following shades: Falu red colour (provided that it is real mud paint -Falu red color with the dark or the light shade), black, brown, grey-green, dark-green, or the natural colour of the planks
4.3
Plant support/trellis are allowed. Maximum 2.5 metres high, but should be extremely discreet and with the main part air between posts/material. The board decides if the construction meets the criteria of plant support/trellis. A colonist has to follow the notes from the board.

Only wooden furniture is allowed. Plastic furniture is not allowed on the cultivation plots.
4.5
Pressure impregnated wood are not allowed for use because it contains pesticides. Linseed-oil is allowed for use
4.6
Compost-boxes has to be maximum 4 pallet collars high – approximately 80 cm
4.7
Low seed beds are allowed
4.8
Cultivation boxes and other timber in use of cultivate in, must be made of untreated wood, or black cultivation boxes for sale in garden stores
4.9
Permanent greenhouses are not allowed
4.10
You are allowed to have a temporary greenhouse during the cultivation season with the height of approximately 1 meter
4.11
Fences are not allowed. However – some kind of low, thin (at least 50 cm between the posts), discreet boundary marking with a maximum height of 50 cm
5. Working-days and working-weeks
5.1
The working-weeks are compulsory, and the owner of the plots are given two weeks per season, where the common areas are taken care of. This means lawn mowing in a certain given area one week. Alternative cleaning of the gravel walks and common plantings one week, and watering the second week. Owners of the plots can switch weeks and tasks with each other if this would be needed.
5.2
Common working days are held every spring and autumn. A member who not takes part in the workdays of the association, must pay 300 kr, that is deposited without reminder, to the plusgiro account of the association 611943-2. No payment can lead to termination of the contract. Working tasks that can be done later, will not be assigned by the board. However, it is possible to – in advance – report to the board that you not can be present at the working day and – therefore- do a task the day before the working day instead.
